Overview

You can request that your Vaster105FM account and all associated personal data be deleted at any time. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Below are the methods available and details on what data is deleted or retained.

Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

To delete your account directly within the Vaster105FM app:

1. Open the Vaster105FM app and navigate to the About page from the bottom navigation menu.
2. Scroll to the Account section at the bottom of the page.
3. Tap the "Delete Account" button.
4. Confirm your decision by tapping "Delete Forever" in the confirmation dialog.
5. You will be automatically logged out. Your account and all associated data will be permanently removed.

Method 2: Email Request

If you are unable to access the app or prefer to request deletion by email:

1. Send an email to opensourcemediabb@gmail.com
2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
3. Include the email address associated with your Vaster105FM account so we can identify your account.
4. Our team will process your request within 30 days of receiving it and send a confirmation email once deletion is complete.

Data That Will Be Deleted

Upon account deletion, the following personal data associated with your account will be permanently removed:

• Account record: Full name, email address, and role designation
• Song requests: All submitted song titles, artist names, and optional messages
• Chat messages: All community chat messages you have sent, including your display name
• Chat reactions: All reactions (heart, fire, laugh, thumbs up) you have submitted
• Song reactions: All thumbs up and heart reactions on songs
• Track likes: All likes on featured artists and tracks
• Chat presence data: Typing status and activity indicators
• Moderation records: Your user moderation record (warnings, timeouts, bans)

Data That May Be Retained

The following data may be retained after account deletion:

• Aggregate visit statistics: Page visit counts and country-level visitor totals are stored as anonymous aggregate numbers, not linked to your individual account.
• Moderation logs: Records of moderation actions taken (e.g., deleted messages, bans) may be retained for security and audit purposes, with personal identifiers removed where feasible.
• Anonymized analytics: Usage data that has been aggregated and cannot be linked back to you personally.

Processing Timeframe

• In-app deletion: Account and data are removed immediately upon confirmation.
• Email request: Deletion is completed within 30 days of receiving your request. You will receive a confirmation email once complete.
• Automatic data retention: User-generated data (song requests, chat messages, reactions, likes, and presence data) is automatically deleted within 90 days of creation, even if you do not request account deletion.
